Creating The Perfect Fall Morning Routine

It’s early Monday morning, your alarm is going off, and as you glance around your room you notice something odd. No I’m not talking about the boogeyman who’s hiding under your bed (you’re used to him by now anyway so he doesn’t scare you anymore and you guys have become friends. Look at you becoming friends with a demon! Go ‘head on with your weird self.) It’s 6am and it’s still dark outside! All you want to do is hit that snooze button and go back to sleep. I mean it is still dark outside so what’s the point of being awake anyway? So you end up closing your eye’s and suddenly you find yourself drifting off to snoozeville.

Fast forward 3 hours later, you’re just now waking up but a hard realization has hit you. You forgot to hit the snooze button on your alarm and now you are 2 hours late for work! So now you find yourself scrambling to get yourself together, panicking about whether or not you have a job because this is your second time being late for work this month, and on top of that you forgot to brush your teeth and have no gum to chew! Not only are you late but you also have dragon breath too. Man it sucks to be you right now!

See this is why it is important to have a morning routine, especially during the fall. With the temperatures dropping and the mornings starting later, it can quite tempting to go back to sleep.

๐ŸGet A Good Nights Sleep๐Ÿ

Wake up sleeping beauty it’s time to start your day! According to Medical New’s Today, it’s recommended that you get at least 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night. Anything below that and you’ll probably feel sluggish thus not wanting to wake up in time for work.

๐ŸPrimp and Prep๐Ÿ

After that 7 to 9 hours of beauty sleep you just had, it’s time to wake up and get ready for the day. It’s fall, so we want to look our best while pacing ourselves at the same time. You now have 45 minutes to get ready which may seem like alot of time but really it’s not because you’re slow in the mornings. Fast forwarding 10 minutes past your morning hygiene routine it’s now time to get cute! As a rule of thumb I highly suggest doing your hair the night before so you don’t waste 10 to 15 minutes on your hair the next morning. Make up should also be kept to a minimum. I mean we’re going to a place of business not the club so it should at most only take 5 to 10 minutes to get your face ready. Throw those lashes on, line those eyes, dab on that foundation, put your favorite vampy lipstick on and you’re good to go!

You have 25 minutes left! Time to get dressed! You like to plan ahead so you already have your clothes out for the day. We look cute now with our whole look put together and there’s still some time left! You know what means right? It’s time to….

๐ŸFuel Up๐Ÿ

You know what I love about this time of year? Pumpkin spice flavored everything, especially coffee and coffee creamer!! Don’t even get me started on those pumpkin spice flavored Pop-Tarts that they sell once year. I don’t even like Pop-Tarts but I am willing to mess up my diet for a box of those delicious treats! Weight fluctuates anyway so it’ll be alright!

Start your morning off right with your favorite cup of coffee and your favorite fruit! You don’t have much time left so no hot cooked breakfast for you! You need to be focused and ready to take on the day head on and your “breakfast” will provide you with all the energy you need. Besides nobody likes to deal with Grumpy Mcgrumpface early in the morning. So fuel up and drink up. Today is going to be a great day!

Mornings can be rough, especially once the season change. You may find yourself having a hard time waking up because it’s still cold outside and I don’t know about you all but there’s something about cool air that just makes me want to wrap up in a blanket and sleep. Getting into a routine is important because not only does it help you save time but it also gives you peace of mind as well. Instead of rushing, you’re able to pace yourself now and get all the things done that you need to do. Mornings will be alot more enjoyable and you will be able to get to your destination on time.

How are you coping with the mornings now? Are you struggling or is it a piece of cake for you? Feel free to leave a comment below.

  1. Great information. I’ve been really working on my sleep habits, emotional eating, and exercising. Making a plan and committing to it can be a struggle. No matter what I am going through, I am determined to keep moving forward!

    1. Thanks! I feel you on that; sticks to morning routines can be tough. Especially if you’re just not a morning person at all. Consistency is definitely key along with keeping track of your time to basically force yourself to adhere to the routine.
